((Usopp-san doesn't get much facetime, and I haven't really updated his journal in a while... so I thought, as my present to him, I'd give him a little flashback. ^__^ ))
*sitting up in the crows nest, staring at the more quiet daytime scene of Largo's main island...*

*sighs, folding his arms on the edge of the basket...*
Usopp: I bet you can't guess my birthday, Kaya!
Kaya: *smile eyes* Of course I can, silly... April first.
Usopp: *holds up one finger* Ah ha, I knew you wouldn't-- *he blinks at her, finger wilting* Wait, that's right.
Kaya: *tilts her head to the side* You told me weeks ago... did you think I'd forget?
*Usopp sighs again, laying his head on his folded arms* I wonder if anyone will remember? *sits up suddenly, blinking* Did I even tell anyone when it was??

So Robin's book adventure seems to have been a success... though there were some casualties... *still rubbing at his nose*
I just wonder where Nami got off to. *frowns* Probably gambling with all the 'interest' she's gained from us... *sighs*

5:53 pm - Usopp-ou, of the Penguins...

Usopp wasn't very worried about the others as he was lead into a cramped building by the leader of the Penguins. The Penguins seemed nice enough, after all. And Sanji and Robin could certainly take care of themselves.
As far as he could tell, the whole structure was carved right into the ice, and before long he was shivering despite his coat. One of the younger Penguins pulled at the hem of his coat and handed him a long cape.
"Ah, for me?" He grinned and swung the cape around his shoulders, striking a regal pose. The Penguins around him all clapped and 'oooooh'ed and he rubbed his nose. "That's much better... not that a Great Man of The Sea like me ever really gets cold, of course."
The Penguin-ossan lead him to a larger door, and the whole procession was required to open it... beyond it was a glittering silver and white throne room. Usopp walked in, eyes wide, not noticing that only the Penguin-ossan followed him.
"Aaaaah~ !! This is amazing~ !!" He cleared his throat, covering his mouth with one hand. "Not quite as large as the one they gave me when I saved Alabasta, but... it'll do."
"Oh, I do hope so, Usopp-ou!" The Penguin-ossan squawked, pacing back and forth. "We are truely lucky that Seinto Niku sent you to us in this, our time of greatest need!"
Usopp turned to look down at him, frowning.
"Ara?"
